Football Fundraiser!
In order for us to keep our fees low and the fundraising to a minimum, we run the concession at Millennial Park during the Fair Days Softball tourney. We need 2 people per shift (the more the better) kids can help, but they need to be 14 and older, and the shifts are around 5 hrs long. This is a great opportunity to meet some other parents and watch some softball. IF you can cover a shift, please contact
Claresholm Cobras
The Claresholm Minor Football is a community based, coached and funded sports program to teach kids the fundamentals of the great sport of Football.
We have a spring camp, usually the last week of April and the first week in May. Monday to Friday 6-7:30p.
The spring camp is for the tackle programs, U13 and U15 (formerly called Peewee and Bantam).
We also have a Fall camp, that is usually the last 2 weeks of August, just before school Starts and the practices are M-Th 6-7:30.
The U13 kids will have a Jamboree the last weekend of August either in Raymond, Lethbridge or Claresholm. This year it is Claresholm.
Flag Football
Flag Football will start in the fall once school starts and will usually run until the end of October or when it is too cold or snowy to play.
We start with Flag Football, all ages can play. This is a non-contact form of football that exposes the player to the concepts of how to play football.
U13
Our U13 program is where the players will learn the fundamentals of football and how to tackle safely.
The year that the player turns 13, they will haver to play on the U15 team. This is per SAMFA and Football Alberta rules.
U15
When they are 13 and 14, they will play on the U15 team.
When the player turns 15, they will then be able to play for their local high school team (if they have one). If there isn't a local high school team, they can contact the Sports Director at the Willow Creek Composite High School and find out if they can play with the WCCHS Cobras.
